Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 28, 2026
Vohna ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Vohna Chrome Extension and our services.
1. Our Privacy Philosophy
We believe your browsing habits are your business. Vohna is designed with a privacy-first architecture: the vast majority of your data is processed and stored locally on your own device and is never transmitted to our servers.
2. Information We Collect
To provide our focus and blocking features, Vohna interacts with the following data:
- Website Usage Data: We track the time spent on specific domains to provide you with focus statistics and to enforce your custom daily limits.
- Browsing Activity: We monitor the URL of your active tab to determine if it should be blocked based on your custom rules.
- Page Content Analysis: If the "Adult Content Filter" is enabled, Vohna locally analyzes page metadata and text to identify and block adult content.
- User-Provided Settings: This includes your blocklists, focus goals, and habit preferences.
3. How Data is Stored
- Local Storage: All website usage statistics, blocklists, and habit progress are stored locally on your device using the
chrome.storage.local API.
- No Server-Side Tracking: We do not maintain a central database of your browsing history or usage habits.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely to:
- Enforce the website blocking rules you have configured.
- Provide you with visual reports on your productivity and focus habits.
- Pause timers automatically when you are idle to ensure data accuracy.
- Send browser notifications for session completions and limit alerts.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
- No Sale of Data: We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data or browsing history to third parties.
- No Third-Party Tracking: We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- Legal Requirements: We may only disclose information if required by a valid legal process, though since we do not store your data on our servers, we typically have no data to provide.
6. Your Controls and Rights
- Data Deletion: You can clear all of your local data at any time through the Vohna settings menu or by uninstalling the extension.
- Permission Control: You can disable specific features (like the Adult Content Filter) at any time to stop the associated local data processing.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
